The release sales in North America broke expectations, and as a result the software became difficult to find in stores shortly after its release. The game has been a commercial success both in Japan and internationally. Generally, the game has been positively received by critics who praised its premise, writing, characters and presentation. While the original version of the game takes place in Japan, the localization is set in the United States this became an issue when localizing later games, where the Japanese setting was more obvious. The game was designed to be simple Takumi wanted it easy enough that even his mother could play. Written and directed by Shu Takumi, it was originally planned as a Game Boy Color game about a private investigator. The fifth was introduced in the Nintendo DS version to take advantage of gameplay elements using the handheld's touchscreen not available in the original Game Boy Advance version.Ī team of seven developed the game over the course of ten months. YOUVE SHORTEN DOWN ENTIRE INVESTIGATIONS TO A SPAN OF LIKE A QUICK MONTAGE, WHY NOT JUST SHORTEN THE BULLET SCENE?!?īut back to the animation: The thing that also annoys me is that the people who animated the show made the anime cutscenes in Spirit of Justice, and those:Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a visual novel adventure game developed and published by Capcom. But seriously, the time it took you to do all that you could've have for the taser scene. So they get the bullet from his room, and bing bada boom we got evidence now bois. OH GOD OF ALL THAT IS GOOD, WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO US? THEY HAVE LARRY BUTZ DRESS UP AS EDGEWORTH. To continue publishing, please remove it or upload a different image. Oops! This image does not follow our content guidelines. "But Edgeworth was the defendant in the retrial of his father's death, how did he leave the court unnoticed?" You may ask. To get it, Maya and Edgeworth (Miles Edgeworth, not Gregory XD) just LEAVE the trial to get it. In the anime, however, instead he actually has the bullet, and leaves it on his desk. Von Karma leaves, but forgets to take the bullet, leaving you with evidence against him. There, you talk to Von Karma a bit, and eventually, he pulls out a taser and tazes Maya and Phoenix, but not before Maya grabs the bullet, which was evidence during the case where Gregory Edgeworth died. In the first game, to get the bullet that proves Von Karma's guilt in the murder of Gregory Edgeworth, you have to go to the Police Department evidence room. Not only that, the anime makes changes that don't have to be there. I mean, these are professional companies, how can the animation quality be this bad? ^Here's a video I found that perfectly shows it Granted, I've only seen up till the beginning of the first episode about Turnabout Big Top, but my problems with it are throughout most episodes. I don't watch anime really, but one that I have watched is the Ace Attorney anime.
